Ladies in
WaitingŪ is an innovative, evidence-based program which specializes in addressing and
meeting the unique needs of high-risk antepartum clients, particularly those confined to
bed rest at home or in the acute care setting. Through collaboration and team work this
creative, family-centered approach works to achieve the common goal of healthy
maternal-neonatal outcomes.

Confinement adds an
additional burden for family members and increases the emotional stress on the client
whether she is at home or in an acute care facility. Our program is family-centered, and
designed to address issues raised by these additional burdens, and offers solutions that
can create and/or cause conflict within the family.
Ladies in WaitingŪ provides a supportive environment for not only the mother-to-be, but one that extends to her entire family; thereby, decreasing the stress on everyone involved.
Individualized, age appropriate education regarding the medical condition is provided for clients and significant others.
